Ten Hag chose Bruno, the reason Maguire will no longer be United captain

The English defender has not been the most prolific during his time at Manchester United, unfortunately, he is also not a fan favourite and although he has tried to show interesting things that could keep him at the club, in this transfer window his future at the Red Devils could be affected. 

Maguire has been at the club since the 19/20 season, arriving from that sensation Leicester City; when he joined the club the board and the fans expected him to be a leader on the pitch, as well as the centre piece of the defence, but due to his poor performances and mistakes that cost United games, his role diminished season after season. 

For this reason, Erik Ten Hag, United's technical director, has shown his interest in looking for Maguire's replacement for next season, although he still has nothing definite and no signing has been made; we should not be surprised if the English defender has to leave through the back door and his time at Man Utd is counted. 

However, Harry Maguire is currently with the rest of the squad preparing for the third game of pre-season, so this news of his call-up leaves fans wondering what will happen to his future, what is clear is that the defender will have a diminishing role with United.
