Erik Ten Hag is still looking for ways to sell his players, as we all know Harry Maguire is one of the main targets to be sold, as the manager has shown his interest in transferring him as soon as possible; however, there is another player who could have a chance to show his potential.

Hannibal Mejbri, who was one of the players planning to leave the club before the end of the summer, has been spotted training at Carrington with his team-mates, the 20-year-old was in one of the first groups to report to Ten Hag.

The midfielder had not played since the end of May, after his loan spell at Birmingham City came to an end, but now that he is back with the club, the manager is considering giving him a chance to show his worth during pre-season, which is of paramount importance if he is to earn a place in the squad and even be a replacement option for Ten Hag

Hannibal is likely to be involved in the first friendly, when Manchester United face Leeds on 12 July in Norway, so he will be able to demonstrate his abilities straight away, but if not, Ten Hag has already shown that he is not tempted to take youngsters who do not meet his standards to heart and could leave the club.

Ten Hag sells young players

During this summer, the manager has released two promising young players who did not have a place in the team, the first was Zidane Iqbal who was sold to FC Utrecht for approximately €1 million and Ethan Laird who joined Birmingham for €750,000, so if Hannibal does not prove his abilities he could be the third on the list and United would be happy to receive at least the €10 million they spent on him.
