Many Manchester United players lack the opportunity to prove their true value to the institution, this is due to the number of star players that the Reds sign year after year, this makes several veteran and young players look for a way out to other clubs in the hope of getting more playing time and being able to rebound their career.

We have seen players who have been at Manchester United since they were very young and yet they have a hard time getting to the first team; although United is one of the English teams that bets more on these young promises and makes use of its basic forces to find the new star of the Reds, it is very difficult for them to consolidate and have a good time at the club.

Unfortunately this is the case of young Swede Anthony Elanga, who has been with the club since 2019 from Malmo FC's academy, but before that United had already had their eye on Elanga, who when he arrived at the Reds there was talk of a great future he could have in the youth ranks and eventually make it to the first team, with whom he made his debut until the 2021 season in a game against Leicester City and although he was involved in more games during that season and the following years, he could never earn a place in the squad.

Now United have agreed a transfer with Nottingham Forest of around 15-18 million, which is the value of the striker; negotiations are nearing completion as Elanga is due to report for medicals with his new team on Monday, no doubt this is a new opportunity for the player to get more game time.

Players who failed to shine in their time with United

Many players have passed through Manchester United without shame or glory, many others came as great reinforcements and could not fit the club, it is known that the demands of the Reds are very high for that reason players like Alexis Sanchez, Edison Cavani, Angel Di Maria and Adnan Januzaj, could not dazzle in the institution and now they are remembered as players who failed in their time at United.
