Erik Ten Hag is still seeking new reinforcements for next season, some on his wish list are of international stature, but others are young players who would help bring an air of freshness to the team; the coach would look to have this mix that he hopes will help him win titles.

One of those international names who arrived at the club not so long ago was Eriksen, who spent most of his career at Tottenham; now at Manchester United the Dane has not been able to show his full potential in his first season.

However, Ten Hag is hoping that Eriksen can have a better season than last, being the centrepiece of the midfield. If Eriksen lives up to expectations, there is no doubt that Manchester United can fight not only for the Premier League, but also for the Champions League.

If this is not the case, Erik Ten Hag could be preparing a Plan B for the future, as the young Cameroonian star, Carlos Baleba, who is only 19 years old and plays for LOSC Lille in Ligue 1, has caught the eye of the coach; in addition to the fact that his cost would be 3 million and that he would be a project that Ten Hag would be willing to take on.

Eriksen first season with United

We all know the recent history of Christian Eriksen and what he suffered in that Nations League match, even so Manchester United took the risk of signing him because of the quality and skill that the Dane has, however, during his first season with the Red Devils, Eriksen has not been up to par, as in more than 35 games he could only score 1 goal, so Erik Ten Hag hopes that in this new season the player will have a more important role and help the team to win.
