This Manchester United target is really close to joining Leeds

Yesterday it was reported by Graeme Bailey, from 90min Football that Manchester United had added Ismaïla Sarr to their transfer targets list. But it was also noted by the transfer correspondent that Leeds United was among the other Premier League clubs interested in the Senegalese player who plays for Watford.

Today, the journalist from Foot Mercato Santi Aouna, informed that Leeds United was ahead in the race for the Sarr. He also added that Leeds is close to reaching an agreement with Watford. Even though the fee has not been shared, it seems that the club is asking for £25 million to let him go this summer, as they still want to keep him.

The 24-year-old forward has been with The Hornets since 2019 and has played two seasons in the Premier League, but also has been relegated on those two occasions. Despite of this he has scored 25 goals and has given out 19 assists in 94 matches played with Watford. Those numbers are not bad if you consider the fact that his team has always been in the last places of the table.
