Coming out of pre-season, Erik ten Hag asked to the Manchester United board for a new right-back as he did not believe Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot were good enough to be the starting options. It looked like the Portuguese was gaining the new manager’s trust thanks to his hard work in training but after last Sunday’s terrible game against Brighton, the coach has pressured for a new player.

However, Dalot is still better than Wan-Bissaka in the eyes of ten Hag, that is why the club is open to sell the English full-back if any offers come through. It has been reported that Crystal Palace would like to take him back on a loan deal, but United only wants a permanent move as they are not accepting any loan bids.

Today, MailOnline Sport has said that the Red Devils have added Josip Juranović from Celtic to their transfer targets in the remaining weeks of the transfer window. The deal would not be too expensive as the right-back has a price tag of £15 million. Unfortunately, Chelsea are also interested according to Graeme Bailey from 90min Football.

Who is Josip Juranović?

Even though the Croatian is 26 years old, he didn’t leave his country until 2020 when he transferred to Legia Varsovia. After just one year with the Polish side, he moved to Celtic where he has shown his quality earning a spot with his national team where he has also played 20 matches.
