Javier Hernández really made his feelings for Manchester United clear during an interview yesterday for PA. The former Man Utd striker spoke about Sir Alex Ferguson and said that they should give Erik ten Hag a chance, he then gave his opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo and also confirmed the love he has for the England giants.

When talking about the Manchester United situation under ten Hag, he was asked if he would like to return to the club, as the club is desperately looking for a back-up striker after the Arnautović deal collapsed, to which he answered: “If United came for me then I would say yes, I will play for free. Of course, you know, I would do that”.

However, he said that he has a contract with LA Galaxy and wants to be respectful to his club, but also left the door open for a future come-back: “I am playing very consistently and in my mind, my conviction is all about winning the championship with LA Galaxy. In the future, if things happen then they will happen, but in my mind, I am 100% with LA”.

Javier Hernández made history at Manchester United

Chicharito signed for Manchester United back in 2010 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still running the club. The Mexican striker scored 59 goals and gave out 200 assists in 157 appearances with the United shirt, but it is worth mentioning most of the time he started the games on the bench. Thanks to this he is considered as one of the best “super subs” in the club’s history alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
