One player that has always been linked with Manchester United is Sergej Milinković-Savić. However, it looks like he finally might be signed by the club this year after the ‘Red Devils’ are on the lookout for more midfield players. This means Adrien Rabiot’s imminent arrival won’t get in the way of this potential transfer.

Manchester United fans dreamt in the past of the possibility of having a midfield partnership composed of Paul Pogba and Milinković-Savić, but it never materialized, and it never will. Pogba left Old Trafford for Juventus this summer as a free agent and has not been replaced by a new signing, but it looks like the Serbian will finally play for Manchester United.

Jonathan Shrager reported this morning that there have been talks between United and Lazio for the midfielder, but a bid has not yet been submitted. He also claims that the club is aware of the player’s personal terms. Adding to this, Samuel Luckhurst, from ‘MEN’, reported that Manchester United is considering making a £57.5 million bid for him.

The dream signing

Sergej Milinković-Savić is one of the best players in the world in his position and he proved it again last season scoring 11 goals and handing out 12 assists for Lazio. He is the perfect ‘Box to box’ midfielder because of his physicality, but also his technical abilities on the ball. He provides for both his team’s offensive and defensive departments and that is why Lazio might ask for more money.
