One of the areas of the pitch in which Manchester United has the most stacked group of players is the centre-back position. At the moment, Erik ten Hag has more than six footballers at his disposal, with the likes of Harry Maguire, Raphaël Varane, Lisandro Martínez, Victor Lindelöf, Eric Bailly, and Phil Jones but only two can play every game.

Although Eric Bailly is the one that has received more offers to leave this summer from clubs such as AS Roma, West Ham, and Sevilla. Unfortunately, they have all been loan deals, but the club has said time and time again that they are only looking to sell players permanently. It looks like he might stay after some clubs have asked for Lindelöf.

It was reported yesterday that Rome was considering making a bid for the Sweden defender according to Ekrem Konur from ‘Fichajesnet’. Today some West Ham sources close to the club said that Lindelöf is now an alternative for them after Issa Diop signed with Fulham earlier today. Also, Alex Crook from 'talkSPORT' added that The Hammers want someone who has experience in the Premier League.

Victor Lindelöf has been underrated at Old Trafford

Even though he arrived at Manchester United for £35 million back in 2017 being labeled as one of the most promising stars from Benfica, he has not been as bad as a lot of fans claim him to be. Yes, he has not fulfilled his potential and he hasn’t even come close to it, but he is still a god squad rotation player that is good with the ball on his feet.
