Erik ten Hag really wants to sign a new striker as a result of Anthony Martial’s hamstring injury last week that prohibited him to play against Brighton in the first game of the season. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only option he has on that ‘No. 9’ role as no one knows yet how much time Martial will be out recovering.

Manchester United made a bid for Bologna’s striker Marko Arnautović, which was declined by the Italian side. But before the United board even thought of increasing their offer, the fans angrily asked for the club to stop trying to sign him and move on to better players that are worthy to wear the Red Devils shirt.

Now there have been reports of Saša Kalajdzić being on the 19 times Premier League champions’ radar. He has similar characteristics to his fellow countryman Arnautović, which Erik ten Hag really liked, and is way younger than him. At only 25 years of age, he has been linked with a move away from Stuttgart this summer. His price tag has been set at £25 million.

Who is Saša Kalajdzić?

Saša is a big striker coming in with 2,00 meters of height. He plays as a target man and is really good in the air. The Austrian has played for Stuttgart since 2019 and in his first year in Germany, he scored 16 goals and made 6 assists. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious injury last year that prevented him from playing that much. With his national team, he has 15 appearances scoring 4 goals.
