Yesterday the Italian reporter Di Marzio informed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes resumed contact with Napoli and AC Milan in order to convince them to make a move for his client this summer since he wants to play Champions League football. Milan directly told him they weren’t interested, while Napoli told him that they could think about it.

After that, Mendes reportedly was trying to convince Luciano Spalletti’s team and Erik ten Hag’s team to exchange Victor Osimhen for Cristiano Ronaldo. Today, one of Italy’s biggest news portals RAI, reported that Napoli is asking for €120 million for Victor Osimhen, plus Ronaldo on loan with the Englis club paying all of his wages.

This deal will definitely not be accepted by the Red Devils since they are not willing to pay €120 million for the 23-year-old Nigerian striker when they are about to spend €100m trying to sign Antony from Ajax, who is their manager’s top priority. Furthermore, the English giants would not accept loaning out the Portuguese striker and still pay his full salary.

Despite Jorge Mendes’ best efforts, after these shocking demands from the Italian club, it looks less likely that his client will leave Old Trafford this summer. Ronaldo’s agent has offered him to every single Champions League club, but none of them have made a move because of his high salary, his age, and other factors that make his signing very complicated.

Time to shut up and train

It is time for Cristiano Ronaldo to face the fact that he will stay at Manchester United one more season and play the Europa League for the first time in his career. There is a new manager who will take the club back to the top with a clear idea and philosophy. However, Erik ten Hag will not take any of the striker’s negative attitudes in the dressing room and will bench him if he needs to.
