The biggest news coming out of Old Trafford is that Manchester United is currently working hard in closing Casemiro’s signing before Saturday so he could be available for the Liverpool match next Monday. The player is currently debating whether or not to leave the Spanish capital to join United after they made him a crazy economic offer.

But the club isn’t stopping there. Chris Wheeler from The Daily Mail, reported today that after the Red Devils close the transfer of Casemiro, then they will focus on a new forward, a goalkeeper, and a right-back before the transfer window comes to an end on August 31st. Erik ten Hag is desperate to bring quality players to turn this complicated situation around.

For the forward position, the Dutch manager’s top priority is his former player at Ajax. The club tried to sign him at the start of the summer, but the Amsterdam club would only take £67 million for the Brazilian. However, the latest reports suggest that they will try to sign him one more time. The other alternative is Cody Gakpo, who is waiting to see if his club PSV qualifies for the Champions League.

In goal, Manchester United was planning to bring in someone who could be a second-choice goalkeeper, but after David De Gea’s shocking performance against Brentford, they are now looking for someone who could really compete against him to start every week. In the right-back position, Sergiño Dest is the favorite to arrive while Aaron Wan-Bissaka could return to Crystal Palace soon.

A little too late

After the 20-time champions of England signed Christian Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia, and Lisandro Martínez by the end of July, the club’s board slowed down dramatically their lookout for new players for Erik ten Hag. But after the worrying start of the season, they are now back on the transfer market trying to reinforce the squad.
