As it was reported a few days ago, Manchester United has been looking for a young centre-forward ever since Edinson Cavani’s departure from the team after both parties agreed on not extending his contract with the club. Now, United’s board want a young striker that can gradually play more minutes.
The main target for this role is Benjamin Šeško, from Red Bull Salzburg, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist claimed that the club has already held more than one meeting with the young Slovenian player. However, Manchester United haven’t pull the trigger in the operation because of the £50m asking price.

Romano tweeted today that 19-year-old will not decide his future before the next week because he has a scheduled meeting with his team to study all proposals so they can make a decision and choose the team that will acquire him. He also confirms that there are other two clubs very interested in him (Chelsea and Newcastle United).
The Austrian club does not want to sell the player this summer as they believe he needs one more season to develop with them. Despite of this, they would only let him go if they receive around £50 million. Manchester United doesn’t think he is worth it just yet as he scored 11 goals last season.
