Cristiano Ronaldo has spent the entire summer looking for a new club with the help of his agent Jorge Mendes. However, they didn't succeed in their task after no club made an offer for him. Even some of them, like Atletico Madrid and Bayern, had their presidents come out and publicly say that they were not interested in him.

The Portugal captain missed out on almost all of Manchester United’s pre-season under Erik ten Hag by claiming that he was dealing with some “family issues”, but in reality, was trying to find a club that would want him. Eventually, he returned and has been training with his teammates for some weeks now and has played two games.

Today it has been reported by Sky Sports that Manchester United want to see a change in Cristiano Ronaldo’s attitude or they might even consider terminating his contract. Paul Hirst, from Times Sport, added that the coaching staff and multiple players are becoming increasingly frustrated with Cristiano’s conduct.

Hirst also says that some senior figures of the club’s board have questioned whether it is worth keeping Ronaldo this season especially after he has told executives that he wants to leave. Erik ten Hag believes that this kind of behavior could potentially affect the environment in the dressing room and divide the team in half.

Manchester United is bigger than any player

There is no problem with the fact that he asked to leave the club in the first place because he wants to play Champions League football, but after absolutely no club has made an approach in order to sign him, then it’s time to accept your fate and work hard to help the team get out of this rough patch. No one is bigger than the club. Not even Cristiano Ronaldo.
