Yesterday, Manchester United suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in the club’s history after being defeated 4-0 against Brentford. After just two games of Erik ten Hag’s new era, the Red Devils currently sit in last place on the Premier League table with two losses, six goals conceded and zero scored.

The new manager looked frustrated as he was watching his team concede four goals in 35 minutes of the first half. After the match ended, he apologized to the Manchester United fans for such a horrendous performance and said that this club need higher standards and that he will work hard to get the team back on top.

The Dutchman has stayed true to his word because today it is being reported by multiple sources that ten Hag has canceled his players’ scheduled day off as he was furious with their performance. The 52-year-old has told them to report to the training center this morning for an extra training session as a consequence of yesterday’s defeat.

Whether they like it or not, the Manchester United squad will be training today at Carrington, and hopefully realize those performances in the first two games of the Premier League season are unacceptable for a club as big as Man United is. With this decision ten Hag is showing his players who is in charge and will start to make changes on their mentality.

Scary future ahead

The Red Devils have lost against Brighton and Brentford, who are inferior on paper. Now they will face Liverpool in the next fixture, which is one of the best teams in the world right now. Erik ten Hag is hoping to see some new signings arriving this week, but most likely he will have the same players available.
