The 20-year-old midfielder had an amazing match last week at Old Trafford in his team’s victory over United. He won 5 out of 6 individual duels, made 3 key passes, and participated in both of the goals Brighton scored last Sunday. Yesterday, he was named Man Of The Match against Newcastle. This may have been enough to make Erik ten Hag and the board invested in him.

Ever since the young Ecuatorian made his debut with Graham Potter's team, his team has obtained 20 points out of 30 possible, beating Arsenal, Tottenham, Wolves, West Ham and Manchester United twice. The 19-times Premier League winners were really close to signing Caicedo in January of last year, but they didn’t pull the trigger in order to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams. Brighton ended up signing him from Independiente for around £5 million. After Bissouma left the Seagulls, he has taken over his team’s midfield and his value has surely skyrocketed.
