The latest information regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future suggests that his chances of staying at Manchester United have increased exponentially in the last few days. The exit of the 37-year old Portuguese star is looking less likely as we approach the final weeks of the transfer window.

Ever since last season ended, Cristiano Ronaldo has been looking for a new club alongside his agent Jorge Mendes, because he wanted to play for a club with Champions League football, as Manchester United failed to qualify for the biggest club competition in the world. Ronaldo even missed out almost all the pre-season tour under Erik ten Hag as he was excused after claiming that he was dealing with family issues.

Even though, his agent offered him to almost every single big club in Europe’s top five leagues, no official offer was placed on the table of Manchester United’s headquarters. For this reason, the player returned to Carrington’s training ground with the rest of his teammates and met the new coach. He even played the last match of the tour against Rayo Vallecano.

Laurie Whitwell, from ‘The Athletic’ said today that United’s board have insisted that he is not for sale even after Ronaldo’s clear intention to leave. It is being reported that even Joel Glazer has been involved in the discussions as they want ten Hag to figure out a way to incorporate him in his system as soon as possible.

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have settled down

After not receiving any offers for Cristiano Ronaldo and the determination of the board to keep him, it seems that CR7 will be Manchester United’s main man once again. In the meantime, Chris Wheeler, from ‘Daily Mail’ claimed that insiders told him that Ronaldo has showed an excellent attitude in training staying extra hours for finishing practice.
