It has been a very interesting summer at Manchester United. After a really bad season last year, where the club failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and sacked two managers, changes were desperately needed in order to get the team and its fans back on top where it belongs.

For that reason, Erik ten Hag was appointed as the new coach of United after leaving Nederland’s giants, Ajax, after creating a dynasty with the club. While he was in charge of Ajax, he won three Eredivisie titles, two cups and one Nederland Supercup. At the same time, he took Europe by surprised reaching the Champions League semifinals after defeating teams such as Real Madrid and Juventus.

He arrived at Old Trafford with a plan. However, we haven’t be able to see it materialize as the club has only made three signings: Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martínez and Tyrell Malacia. All of them have played in the Eredivisie and fit the qualities of his philosophy and style of playing football.

Erik ten Hag knows more new faces are needed

Nevertheless, Miguel Delaney, chief football writer at ‘The Independent’ stated that ten Hag is not as happy as he could be because he feels that the club could have bought more of his transfer targets by now, as the season is just around the corner. He still thinks more players should leave, and even more must arrive.
