A lot of new information has been released in the last few hours regarding a potential new Manchester United transfer target. Quite a few journalists from different countries have agreed that a player, who was a star at Ajax, is now looking for a new club as he isn’t playing as much as he would like at his club.

The player being talked about is Hakim Ziyech. According to Nabil Djellit, from France Football, the Moroccan is considered a priority target for Erik ten Hag in the final days of the transfer market. Later today, Santi Aouna, from Foot Mercado, confirmed the first report of France Football about Ziyech being the new number one target.

In addition to this, the Belgian reporter, Sacha Tavoler, said that Hakim Ziyech’s agent offered his client to ‘The Red Devils’ as he wants to reunite with his former Ajax coach, but now at Old Trafford. The left-footed attacker has been looking for a way out of Chelsea this summer after not counting for Thomas Tuchel.

Ziyech was really close to join AC Milan in the early stages of the transfer window, but the Italian giants were too busy closing another signing in Charles De Ketelaere, that they dropped the ball on the Chelsea player. However, numerous reports confirmed back then that the player had already reached a verbal agreement with the Serie A winners, so they might come back for him.

Manchester United and their liking for Ajax players

It is no secret that ten Hag has a thing for his former players. He created a dynasty back in Amsterdam based in attacking football and inspired by Johan Cruyff. That’s why it makes sense that he will look for players who already fit his system and can help him transmit it to his new team.
