Manchester United's manager held a press conference ahead of the club’s next Premier League fixture tomorrow night when they visit the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City away from home. Among other topics, Erik ten Hag was mainly questioned by the media about the players he will have at his disposal for the game.

To kick things off, he was asked about the newest signing Antony's availability: “First we have to sign him. So there’s an agreement between clubs but the paperwork is not done, so I cannot go too deep into that fact”. He doesn’t know if Antony’s paperwork will be solved in time before tomorrow’s deadline day: “I hope, but as I say, it has to be done because then the window is closed”.

There were some reports from multiple media outlets suggesting that Antony’s Visa was being dealt with, and for that reason, he wouldn’t be available for tomorrow’s match against Leicester City. However, the process is taking longer than expected and since the transfer window closes tomorrow, the manager is afraid that the transfer won’t be completed in time.

When asked about Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial’s injury status before the game, he said that one of them will definitively miss tomorrow’s fixture: “Victor Lindelof is training with the team, we will see today how far he is but just one session he was in. He was two, three weeks out. Martial is not available”, he told the press.

Bad luck

Erik ten Hag’s plans with Anthony Martial as the main striker will have to wait another week. The Dutch manager was really impressed with the Frenchman during pre-season and counted on him to be the starter centre-forward this season ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old striker has suffered two injuries this month and only has played 45 minutes this season.
