A new team has entered the race to sign Eric Bailly this summer. The player does not count for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United is already looking for his departure as soon as possible. Among other players, he has been shown the exit door because the new manager is looking to reduce the size of the squad.

First, Spanish side Sevilla FC asked for the centre-back following the negotiations for Alex Telles, who will spend a season on loan with them. Then AS Roma showed their interest in him as he was of the liking of Jose Mourinho, who coached him during his time at Manchester United. West Ham was another team that wanted him.

So far, the Red Devils have rejected all of this club’s interest because they only want a loan deal for the player as everyone knows his history with injuries throughout his time at Manchester United. However, things may change now that AS Monaco has started conversations with the club for a loan with an option to buy according to French newspaper L’Equipe.

Where will Eric Bailly end up?

The Ivory Coast defender has to choose between AS Monaco or West Ham United as they are reportedly the only two clubs left in the race for his signing. The Hammers are really pushing for him as their centre-back Issa Diop is on his way to Fulham. However, Manchester United may accept this new offer from Monaco so they don’t sell him to a Premier League club.
