Yesterday, news came to light that Manchester United had targeted Juventus player Adrien Rabiot as the team desperately needs more center midfielders after not being able to close the signing of Frenkie De Jong from FC Barcelona. The club has been very patient with the Dutch player but needs to start looking for alternatives.
Today Manchester United reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Rabiot for an £18 million fee with add-ons included. The club has started to negotiate with the player’s agent, who actually is his mom, to sign him up as soon as possible so he can start training with the rest of the team and get to know Erik ten Hag’s philosophy.

During the negotiations, it was the Dutch coach himself who called the player personally to convince him to sign for the team. The French player wants guarantees in the tactical project as he wants to be called up by France to the upcoming FIFA World Cup in November. This should not be an issue if you consider the other options ten Hag has at his disposal.
It has been reported by Giovanni Albanese, from La Gazzetta dello Sport that the meeting was positive, and a new conversation has been scheduled in the next few days because an agreement has not been reached regarding the midfielder’s personal terms with the club.
