Erik ten Hag’s priority has always been Frenkie De Jong as he has already coached the player during his time at Ajax where the footballer had a breakout season.
For this reason, Manchester United have been very patient with De Jong. The club reached an agreement with FC Barcelona for the player over a month ago. Yesterday it was reported by Goal’s James Robson that the ‘Red Devils’ had now considered Fabian Ruiz as a new alternative in case the Dutch midfielder did not ended up coming to Old Trafford. In spite of that, today it was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano that PSG are closing the signing of the Spanish player.
