As we are getting closer to the kick-off match of the Premier League season, Manchester United media keeps interviewing the players about their feelings ahead the match against Brighton & Hove Albion this Sunday at Old Trafford. Now, it was the turn of Diogo Dalot, who is really excited to finally how what he is made of.
The full-back knows this is a special season as he has to impress the new coach, Erik ten Hag, in order to earn a spot on the team sheet: “I set my targets and it is always about trying to help the team as much as I can. That’s what I work hard for every day. I want to be an option for the manager and I always want to step up my game”.
Manchester United will have to find a new sponsor for their jersey
It appears that Cristiano Ronaldo won’t leave Manchester United after all
The 23-year-old is hungry for trophies and has high hopes after what he has seen throughout the pre-season tour under ten Hag’s management: “I always want to be better that I was before and this season I want to step up my game individually. Collectively, hopefully, we can reach the end of the season with some trophies”.
Not only will Dalot have to impress his new manager at Manchester United, but he also needs to play regularly every weekend so Portugal’s national team coach, Fernando Santos, calls him up to the FIFA World Cup on November.
