It is no secret to anyone the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo spent the entire summer trying to find a club that could allow him to play Champions League football this season since he failed to qualify with Manchester United after finishing sixth in the Premier League table in the last campaign.

Despite his best efforts, he never found a club interested in him that would be willing to pay his high salary. While looking for a club, he skipped the entire pre-season tour with Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag, who didn’t appreciate this and is letting him know by not playing him.

It has been six Premier League games so far this season, and CR7 has only started in one of those fixtures. Funny enough, it was the 4-0 defeat against Brentford. The former Ajax coach has benched him all those games, only subbing him in the final minutes of the matches.

Erik ten Hag claims that he isn’t starting Ronaldo because of his lack of fitness, as he didn’t do pre-season properly. However, the 37-year-old striker has one of the best bodies in world football as he is in phenomenal shape. So, it must be that the manager is angry at him for wanting to leave.

What’s his latest attempt?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been trying to win back the love of the fans as he is using social media to send positive messages to the supporters. This way he is showing a new positive attitude hoping that Erik ten Hag notices it and forgives him for wanting to leave. He is trying to show him that he is fully committed to the team.
