Last night was one of the best performances from Manchester United in recent memory. After a shaky start to the season, the Red Devils bounce back against their biggest rivals Liverpool where they showed that fighting spirit they had been missing recently. Erik ten Hag made some adjustments to the team and finally got his first win in charge of the club.
After the match, last night’s captain Bruno Fernandes talked to MUTV and said the team needs to maintain the same momentum: “To get these three points is massive for us but now this game is done. We have to look forward and carry on this attitude, this passion, and this character that we showed tonight unto the next games”.

The Portuguese midfielder admitted the team lacked character in recent weeks: “The attitude we showed tonight, the passion that we showed, the desire to win the game, not that we didn’t show it before, but in the last two games we could add something more, and today was the day we showed all of that together with the quality of the players”.
Bruno proved his leadership by encouraging his teammates to forget about egos and play as a unit: “Well done from everyone today, and even the ones that didn’t play. They did a great job though the week to push all the ones that played. That has to be the mindset for the team, that everyone is included, everyone is part of the team and even when you don’t play, they have a part to play”.
Lastly, Fernandes had to talk about Manchester United’s newest signing: “I think Casemiro is a great player and will add so many good things for us. We are happy to have him. Obviously, we know he has a good mentality, we know he has shown it at Madrid and we hope he will do it at the same level as he did in Madrid”.
