It has been confirmed by numerous sources, that Manchester United reached an agreement with FC Barcelona over a month ago. The Catalans accepted the offer as they desperately need to sell players in order to register their new signings. However, the player still does not want to leave Barça as they still owe him some differed wages.

Manchester United have been very patient with Barcelona just because they know De Jong is the top priority for the new manager Erik ten Hag, as he could help the team understand his philosophy much quicker. Also, because this is the club’s weakest area in the field with McTominay and Fred as the best players in centre-midfield position.

After the rumors of Dutch midfielder joining Chelsea have multiplicated, the ‘Red Devils’ have now added Napoli’s player Fabian Ruiz to the transfer targets list according to James Robson, from Goal. The move would not be that expensive as the Spanish midfielder’s contract expires in 2023 and has already told the Italian side that he does not want to extend said contract.

Fabian is a very talented player with a privileged left foot. He has been in the radar of big clubs around Europe in the last couple of years. This summer he was wanted by Italian teams, but Napoli would only be open to sell him to a team from another league.
