The Real Madrid midfielder sent a message to his former teammate in the Spanish capital after seeing that he hasn’t been starting regularly for Manchester United this season. This way, he is trying to defend the Portuguese striker from all criticism from the English press and fans.

Toni Kroos knows Cristiano Ronaldo very well from their successful time together at Real Madrid where they won several titles and dominated European football for three years in a row. When CR7 decided to leave the Spanish giants in 2018, he obviously was really sad to see him go.

While Ronaldo went on looking for a new challenge in Juventus after winning everything with Real Madrid, Kroos decided to stay and help his team. However, one really found success, while the other one has been struggling lately on the football pitch. That is the case with Cristiano at the moment since he isn't playing.

The 37-year-old superstar isn’t used to being benched as he is one of the best footballers in history, so he is frustrated with his situation. On the other hand, Toni is still thriving with Real Madrid being untouchable in the starting XI for Carlo Ancelotti as he is arguably the best midfielder in the world.

What did Kroos say to Ronaldo?

The German midfielder said that he knows he will be back on top because he has seen him train and work harder than anyone else. Toni Kroos is confident that this is just a phase and Cristiano Ronaldo will be back into scoring lots of goals sooner rather than later, as it is just a matter of time for Erik ten Hag to find out he needs him.
