Manchester United reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Adrien Rabiot early this week for a fee of around £17 million plus add-ons. Since Tuesday, the club has been in direct conversation with the player and his mother, who is also his agent; but are yet to find an agreement at this time today, however, this news may change that.

Recognized transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has come out today and confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain has reached full agreement on personal terms with Juventus. The Argentinian player is just waiting for the Italian French club to find an agreement of the transfer fee. As of right now, the negotiations are still ongoing between clubs.

It is well known that the Italian giants want to sell Adrien Rabiot and Arthur Melo this summer because they think is time to move on to a better midfield. With the arrival of ex-Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and the inevitable signing of Paredes, they would have established one of Serie A’s more dominant and complete centre-midfield partnership.

It was reported earlier today by ‘Mail Sport’ that Rabiot’s move to Old Trafford was at risk of collapsing because of the outrageous demands his mother is making. It’s been said that the player wants to keep the same wages he receives with The Bianconeri, which is around £8 million per year. United think this is way too much and want to reduce his salary.

The Domino effect

Once both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus finally agree on a transfer fee for Leandro Paredes, then it is very much likely that they will push harder for Rabiot to make a move to Manchester United, as well as look for a club interested in Arthur. At the same time, the Red Devils should hurry up and close the deal, as they really need a new midfielder.
