As today is the transfer deadline day, there could be some movement at Manchester United’s camp. After Antony was officially unveiled as the Red Devils’ new signing, Martin Dúbravka is also expected to be announced later today since an agreement has been reached with both the player and his club Newcastle for a one-year loan deal.

However, those should be the last signings the club makes this summer after what Erik ten Hag said in yesterday’s press conference where he assured the press that this will be the squad for the rest of the season, or until January at least. On the other hand, some young players could be on their way out in the next few hours.

Tahith Chong and James Garner are both expected to be permanently sold today. Chong will be returning to Birmingham City in the Championship, where he played last season on loan, only this time he will stay there for good. Garner is expected to sign with Everton after having several Premier League clubs interested in him.

Besides these former academy players leaving, it is being reported by Simon Jones from MailOnline Sport, that Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are both waiting for some late offers so they could leave the club. Neither of them counts for Erik ten Hag since they haven’t been training with the rest of the squad for a few weeks.

No more players leaving

Erik ten Hag also confirmed in yesterday’s press conference that both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Cristiano Ronaldo will be staying this season. The Dutch manager said that he has spoken to the 37-year-old Portuguese striker and said that they are on the same page and that he’s happy at Manchester United.
