Yesterday’s biggest news was Paris Saint-Germain adding Manchester United’s ‘No 10’ Marcus Rashford into their transfer target list. This obviously took everyone by surprise at the club because the only player that they thought would end up leaving this summer was Cristiano Ronaldo, who they thought would end up leaving this summer was Cristiano Ronaldo, who made it very clear that he wants to leave.

Three French media outlets all agreed that the Ligue 1 champions want to sign Rashford, but it is now being reported that the Red Devils aren’t planning to sell the player, as he is considered one of the best footballers in the squad. Also, they believe he is an example for the new young players coming out of the academy looking for a place in the squad.

Today, Rob Dawson from ESPN, has come out and said that Manchester United has decided that Marcus Rashford is not for sale following the rumors from yesterday. The 19-time Premier League champions claim that he has one more year left in his contract, in addition, there is an option to extend one more year of the said contract until 2024.

Another factor supporting Man Utd is that they are already searching for a new forward in the last three weeks left of the transfer window. If they sell Rashford right now, then they would have to sign two attacking players, which seems complicated as they are currently struggling to just sign one. The lack of time to look for alternatives is a factor.

Rob Dawson also said that the Red Devils board is keen to offer Rashford a new contract as they don’t want him to leave. Julien Laurens also from ESPN, added to the information that the club would only consider a crazy bid from Paris Saint-Germain to change their mind. Manchester United values the player at £120 million.
