Erik ten Hag and Manchester United have spent the entire summer waiting for Frenkie De Jong to change his mind and join them after he refused to leave FC Barcelona despite his club’s best efforts to try to get him out in order to solve their financial troubles. The Dutchman never changed his mind and the Red Devils have now moved on.

Yesterday it was reported that Manchester United was interested in Casemiro and was planning to make a bid for the player. Today one of Real Madrid’s closest sources, Josep Pedrerol said that United is going all-in for Casemiro because they want to sign him before this Saturday in order to get him ready to play against Liverpool on Monday.

Pedrerol appeared in El Chiringuito Livestream and reported that the English giants called Casemiro’s agent right after their humiliating defeat against Brentford. So far, Real Madrid hasn’t received any offers for him, but Pedrerol also said that it is likely that the Brazilian midfielder asks his club to leave in the next few hours.

The Spanish reporter informed that people in Real Madrid believe that United will offer their player a 5-year contract and will double his current wages to convince him to sign with them. Madrid’s manager Carlo Ancelotti, doesn’t want to lose one of his best footballers right at the start of the season, but wouldn’t get in the way of Casemiro if he wants to leave.

One of the best midfielders in the world

The 30-year-old Brazilian has dominated world football with the Merengues this past decade where he won five Champions League trophies as a crucial part of the team. He would reunite with his former teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane at Old Trafford and hopefully help the team turn around this situation.
