Bayern Munich's manager held a press conference this weekend ahead of their Bundesliga fixture against VfL Bochum on Sunday. Among other topics about the matchup, some of the reporters asked him about Cristiano Ronaldo and the recent rumors that suggest he was offered by his agent to Borussia Dortmund.
The German coach admitted that he doesn’t really care as he is only focused on his team: “Honestly, it is none of my business if he goes to Dortmund. He is a good player and has scored a lot of goals in his career and will probably score a few more. But whether he goes to Dortmund or not is irrelevant to my happiness in life”.

Manchester United consider Harry Maguire as non-transferable
Nagelsmann believes very few clubs can afford him: “I think there are many clubs that would like to have Cristiano Ronaldo, but for 15 Bundesliga teams, it would be very difficult to pay him his annual salary. They know he is a great player who would score a lot of goals and sell a lot of t-shirts. But I don’t think he will play for €500,000 a year”.
Despite Nagelsmann’s words, Borussia Dortmund’s CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke had already denied these rumors yesterday when he said there was nothing between them: “I love this player, it’s certainly a charming idea to see Cristiano play at the Signal Iduna Park. But there is no contact at all between the parties involved”.
The Portuguese star has been looking for a new club all summer alongside his agent Jorge Mendes. However, they haven’t been able to find one since they have not received any offer. Manchester United and Erik ten Hag still haven’t decided what they’re going to do with Cristiano Ronaldo this summer as he clearly doesn’t want to stay.
