There is no doubt that Antony is Erik ten Hag’s priority and has been ever since he was appointed as Manchester United manager back in April. He and the club have tried to sign him all summer, but Ajax has rejected all bids made for him, they even rejected an €80 million offer made for the English giants two days ago.

As a consequence, Antony decided to skip yesterday’s training with the rest of his teammates, clearly showing his anger after his club decided to reject that amount of money for him prohibiting him of an opportunity to reunite with his former manager, who helped him become one of the best players in the world.

The 22-year-old had an interview earlier today with Mike Verweij from De Telegraaf in which he couldn’t guarantee that he will stay in Amsterdam this summer although he admitted he’s happy there and wouldn’t mind staying. He also said that he wouldn’t make a decision, as he believes his family, agents and the club would make the best decision for him.

Despite saying that, there are now reports suggesting that the Brazilian winger refused to take part in a behind-closed-doors training session today with Ajax. If the reports are true, this would be the second consecutive day that he skips training with his teammates after his club turned down the Red Devil’s offer.

One more bid

According to  the reporter Jonathan Shrager, the Eredivisie champions would be willing to sell the young attacker to Manchester United for a fee of €100 million. Nevertheless, Santi Aouna from Foot Mercato, claims that Erik ten Hag and the club will make a new offer of €80 million fixed plus 20m in add-ons.
