After yesterday’s humiliating defeat against Brentford, every single Manchester United is expecting the club to go out there in the transfer market and make some signings to reinforce the squad before they face Liverpool at Old Trafford on August 22nd. The first arrival is expected to be Adrien Rabiot as they expect to reach an agreement with his mother soon.

It is being reported by Jason Burt from The Telegraph, that Erik ten Hag is demanding the club’s board to make at least three more signings before the transfer window shuts in three weeks' time. The Dutchman has also asked for Rabiot’s situation to be sorted out before the Liverpool game, so he can play some minutes and help the team.

The Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed that it will be a very busy week for United because they want to sign two or three players, but it looks complicated. He also reported that the striker position will be a key point this new week. Today the Red Devils’ made an enquire to Espanyol for Raúl De Tomás, so he could be coming in.

If Anthony Martial still hasn’t recovered completely from his hamstring injury mid-week, then ten Hag will push for a forward to be brought in as soon as possible because Cristiano Ronaldo is his only option available on the top. After two matches, the team still hasn’t scored a single goal, so he is clearly worried.

There’s no time to lose

Erik ten Hag has been very patient with the way Manchester United has handled the summer signings. However, the manager has accepted the fact that his current squad is not good enough to display the football he would like, so he is very keen in getting in the players he wants. He also told his players today at training that they have not been at the level that this club demands.
