Manchester United will face Arsenal today at Old Trafford in what will be the biggest challenge so far in the new manager’s time with the biggest club in England. Arsenal arrive to the game on top of the Premier League table after winning all their first five games of the season, so it will be a tough battle.

Erik ten Hag didn’t have the start that he wanted in charge if Manchester United after his team lost the first two games of the campaign. However he managed to turn things around and win the last three games after making some adjustments in the starting XI, which he has repeated ever since they beat Liverpool.

However, after three consecutive matches playing with the same line up, it is time to change things up once again to rest some of the players and also to surprise the Gunners today. For that reason, Erik ten Hag could decide to finally start Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro in order to have his best players on the field.

Casemiro hasn’t started a game since he signed with the Red Devils two weeks ago, while Ronaldo hasn’t started since the 4-0 defeat against Brentford when he was trying to leave the club in the transfer window. Despite him wanting to leave at first, CR7 has now stayed and the Dutch manager will try and get the best out of the 37-year-old striker.

A possible debut?

Not only the former Real Madrid players could start today, but the brand new signing Antony could be the ace in the hole from Erik ten Hag to give Mikel Arteta the ultimate surprise for the biggest match of the weekend. With these three changes, Manchester United would automatically be the favorites to get the win today.
