Today, while Manchester United were losing in their debut match of the Premier League season against Brighton & Hove Albion, Fabrizio Romano, among other journalists reported that the ‘Red Devils’ made an approach to Bologna for their player Marko Arnautović, as the club is looking for a short-term option in the attack who can be a squad player.
It was also reported that the club made an €9 million bid for the striker. This offer was quickly rejected by the Italian side as they would only be interested to sell him for 15 million, as per Graeme Bailey, from 90min Football. At the moment, Manchester United board is debating whether or not pay what they ask for or move forward for another centre-forward”.

Hours later, Marko Arnautović’s brother gave out an interview to Andreas Heidenreich, from Kurier Sport, where he addressed the situation: “It is true that there is a bid from a well-know club. I am in contact with Bologna to see if that can be realized”.
Even though, he would be the third-choice striker, a lot of Manchester United supporters have criticized that he is even considered as an option as they believe he doesn’t have the level to play for this club. Talking with Sky Sports, Gary Neville didn’t even want talk about it: “I’ve got a comment on everything in the world apart from Manchester United signing Arnautović today”.
