One of the transfers that Manchester United is currently working is the signing of Adrien Rabiot. After reaching an agreement with his club Juventus, the Red Devils have been in touch negotiating with the player and his mother/agent in order to convince them to come to Old Trafford, but there is still no agreement yet.

Everybody is talking about the imminent signing of the French midfielder as fans and analysts all share different opinions. Today Lou Macari, former Manchester United midfielder was invited to ‘MUTV’ in one of the segments of the club’s coverage of Erik ten Hag's press conference, and when the hosts asked him about Rabiot, his answer took them by surprise.

The 73-year-old said he couldn’t believe United were interested in him: “I had never heard of him. 32 league games last season, no goals. Other qualities? I’m not sure I see them. It is about the black and white. Clubs spend millions of pounds scouting players across Europe, but nobody else has made a move for this fella”.

The Scotsman who spent 11 years playing for Manchester United finalized saying he doesn’t think he is worth it as only AS Monaco is interested in him: “Monaco is good for going on holiday. But what has the football team ever done? So, for them to be interested in him means nothing. None of the other English clubs are in for him. I have a bad feeling about the guy”.

The latest update on Adrien Rabiot

The 27-year-old midfielder and his mother keep rejecting Manchester United’s bids because he wants to keep the same wages he has at Juventus, which is around €8 million per year. The Red Devils last offer presented to them was €7 million, but they have also rejected it. The club is thinking in adding some add-ons to complete the deal.
