Manchester United lost their first game of the season at home against Brighton & Hove Albion in what is being called a wake-up call for the team. A lot of fans were confident that Erik ten Hag will take the three points in his first official game as the club’s manager. This was also the debut for Lisandro Martínez with the Red Devils.
Despite conceding two goals, “Licha” has received the support of ex-Manchester United defender Wes Brown who did not think he deserved to be criticized. Brown spoke to Man Utd’s website and said this: “He played well. I was still looking at the size of him, but I like him. He is sharp, he is in your face, he is not scared of getting involved and he passed the ball well”.

Eric Bailly has multiple clubs interested in him and has to make a decision
He thinks the fans should be patient with the Argentinian: “He took up some good positions and for his home Premier League debut, it was not a bad one for him personally, even if it was for the team. He is quick and reads the game well and he doesn’t look like he panics when people are running at him with the ball”.
Wes Brown ended the interview saying that the players have to believe in themselves: “Confidence-wise, that is one of the biggest things for me. Because you then go into games gearing each other up, telling everyone to do it again, to keep doing it. We have got to try harder as a team because we let a lot of goals in last season”.
