The day has finally arrived. After reaching an agreement with Real Madrid in principle for the transfer of Carlos Henrique Casemiro just two days ago, Manchester United have planned to unveil the Brazilian midfielder today at Old Trafford just before the match against Liverpool in what they expect will have a full capacity.
The club’s board would like to repeat the formula in which they first introduced the last big player signed from Real Madrid, Raphael Varane. The French defender was first seen with a Red Devils jersey in front of a packed stadium minutes before kick-off against one of the club’s fiercest rivals Leeds United.

It is also being reported by Laurie Whitwell that Varane was a key part of Casemiro making the decision to leave the Santiago Bernabéu for the Theatre of Dreams because he personally persuaded him to make the move while speaking to him daily. The players have a great relationship forged from their time together in the Spanish capital.
However, a great section of fans has been organizing some protests outside of the stadium just like last year before the match against Jurgen Klopp’s team. It is still unknown if they will break into Old Trafford again and make the game suspended like last season. But they are also planning to empty the stadium during the match as a way to show their anger at the Glazers.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Casemiro already completed his medical tests this weekend and is set to sign his contract with Manchester United until 2026 with an option to extend it one more year. It is being reported by Mario Cortegana from Marca, that the 30-year-old will wear the number 18 shirt with the Red Devils.
