Manchester United lost 0-1 in their opening game of the UEFA Europa League against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford. The Red Devils were the clear favorites as they were coming into the game with four consecutive wins in the Premier League. Maybe the announcement of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II before the game left a mark on the players who didn’t perform well.

Erik ten Hag decided to make some rotations in the squad and give some regular players a well-deserved rest while giving an opportunity to the ones that haven’t been playing in the last couple of games so they could show what they bring to the table.

Scott McTominay is playing so much better than the new Brazilian midfielder, and Marcus Rashford has scored three goals so far this season, while CR7 is yet to score a goal.
