Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo might have just played their last match in a long time

Manchester United lost 0-1 in their opening game of the UEFA Europa League against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford. The Red Devils were the clear favorites as they were coming into the game with four consecutive wins in the Premier League. Maybe the announcement of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II before the game left a mark on the players who didn’t perform well.

However, the proved that the manager was correct in not including them in the starting XI recently as they were the worse players on the pitch tonight.

They could be back on the bench

With both of them sitting on the bench, Manchester United have actually looked like a great team and have beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal. Scott McTominay is playing so much better than the new Brazilian midfielder, and Marcus Rashford has scored three goals so far this season, while CR7 is yet to score a goal.
