Earlier today, some Ajax fans caught Antony Santos leaving the team’s training ground two hours before the rest of his teammates. The Brazilian stopped to greet his supporters, signed them some autographs, took pictures with them, and even gifted one of his jerseys to one lucky fan that was surrounding his car.

Later it was reported that the 22-year-old didn’t train today with the squad for the third consecutive occasion and hasn’t been training since Friday. Reports also say that it is unlikely that he will return to training until his situation is sorted out. Whether he ends up leaving for the English giants or staying in Amsterdam.

Today it was also reported by Sky Sports that Manchester United are ready to increase their offer to Ajax for the player. The new fee would be around €94 million with add-ons included, which is less than the €100m the current Eredivisie champions were asking after they turned down the initial €80m bid made last week.

Mike McGrath from The Daily Telegraph reported that Antony’s representatives are staying in London and are planning to stay there until the transfer window shuts down on September 1st. This proves once again the young footballer’s intention to make a move to the Premier League and reunite with his former coach.

He misses him

Antony Santos has been very clear about the influence Erik ten Hag had in his short career and hopes to be playing under him once again but at Old Trafford. While being managed by the new Manchester United manager, the winger scored 22 goals and made 20 assists, which made him get the call-up to Brazil’s national team.
