Manchester United have been negotiating these past few days with Adrien Rabiot and his mother, who is also his agent, about his personal terms in order to finalize the transfer of the midfielder to Old Trafford this week. However, the agreement is still yet to be found as the player and his mom do not want to earn less money than they did at Juventus.

The French player currently is one of Serie A’s best paid footballers, earning a fee around €8 million per year. The 19-times Premier League champions believe that is too much money for a player that isn’t one of the best in the world in his position, although they want him as a complementary player for Frenkie De Jong, they still think he isn’t worth it.

Chief Football Correspondent for the ‘Daily Telegraph’ reported earlier today that one of the representatives of the Manchester United board personally flew to Turin with the mission of closing the Rabiot deal today as the player and his agent still don’t want to take less money than his current salary with the ‘Vecchia Signora’.

Now it is been reported by Italy’s best journalists, Alfredo Pedulla that even though the negotiations between United and Veronique Rabiot have been almost non-stop, there is still no agreement between both parties. He added that the English giants have just offered him €7m-a-year to the player, but his mother is still holding out for a higher bid.

Is he worth it?

Manchester United is doing good in not offering him the wages he currently has in Italy, Ever since being signed as a free agent in 2019, Juve has tried to reduce his salary with renewal offers because they realized he isn’t that good, but he has declined it all of them. The Red Devils’ board should move on to another target if he doesn’t take this bid or fully focus on Frenkie De Jong.
