Manchester United are already preparing for their first pre-season game against Leeds on 12 July, while Erik Ten Hag is still looking to find signings ahead of their tour of the United States in order to fit them into the squad before the start of the Premier League

One of the signings that the coach thought was close to happening is Andre Onana, there has been a lot of talk about the Inter Milan goalkeeper, who a couple of days ago met with officials in Holland to agree personal terms, so his transfer could have been said to be almost imminent, however, the coach will probably not be able to count on the goalkeeper on the date he requires him.

This is due to a statement from Inter's sporting director who said: "At the moment, Onana is Inter's goalkeeper", "We are a strong team and we want to continue with strong players"; besides that we must remember that the Italian club had already rejected two offers from United because they were not close to the 60 million euros they were asking for the player, although the last offer from the red devils would have been between 50-52 million plus 5 million in bonuses, but Inter still did not respond to that proposal.

This could only indicate that the Italian club would not be very willing to let go their star goalkeeper so easily, they would be looking for a value that would allow them to find his replacement, but as the days go by Ten Hag sees further away his desire to play in the U.S. tour.

Pre-season games in the United States

Manchester United will prepare for the start of the season on the American continent with four games, the first against Arsenal on 22 July, then against Wrexham on 25 July, Real Madrid on 26 July and finally Dortmund on 30 July.
