Manchester United is having a very different summer from what was initially planned, and the sale of the club has led to various situations that have made it impossible for the team to reinforce or keep its players in the team.
One of the players who has been most linked to a possible exit from the team is David de Gea, as the 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper will become a free agent on July 1 and everything seems to indicate that he will not continue in the team, as it seems that his relationship with Erik ten Hag is very worn out.
After the FA Cup final against Manchester City, Erik ten Hag would have decided to look for a new goalkeeper, regardless of David de Gea's decision to continue or leave the team, which would have annoyed the Spanish goalkeeper who would have already decided his future.
In recent weeks it has been reported that David de Gea has offers from Saudi Arabia to migrate to the exotic Saudi Pro League, which was already able to attract players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. And now, to convince David de Gea, they could offer him a multi-million dollar contract that not even Manchester United could match.
Last season, David de Gea was the highest paid player in the whole team, earning 55 million a year. According to The Mirror, David de Gea was not willing to lower his salary at United which would also be one of the reasons for his eventual departure and the Saudi Arabian offer is expected to be higher than his last salary at Old Trafford.
