Manchester United spent the whole summer trying to sign a new striker, it took more than two months for the club to sign one of the players who was on the target list, however, Erik Ten Hag was never able to sign one of the best strikers in the Premier League and who would have certainly filled the fans with even more excitement.

Rasmus Hojlund was unveiled at Old Trafford on Saturday 5 August, just before the penultimate game of pre-season against Lens, the Danish player arrived from Atalanta for a fee of around €72 million, although it was a little more than United were expecting to pay, the manager showed he was happy to have finally signed his new striker.

One of the reasons why Hojlund was able to come to the club was because of the affection and willingness he has always shown towards the team, as it is well known that one of his dreams from an early age was to play for Manchester United, so the fans can be sure that he will give his all for the team, however, he was not the first choice Ten Hag had.

Harry Kane was one of the first strikers that came up as possible signings for the Red Devils this summer, the coach always praised the work of the Briton and at any time showed his admiration for him; but because Tottenham had no intention of selling him, in addition to putting a ridiculously high value for the player, United decided to give up and wait until 2024 when his contract expires.

FC Bayern ahead of the negotiations

While Manchester United crossed their arms that they could not afford Harry Kane's value, nor his salary, FC Bayern Munich continued to put pressure on Spurs to try to sign the striker, so now, in a new update on the case, the Bavarian club offered €100 million for Kane, which has apparently already been accepted by the London team, so it only remains for the British striker to make a decision on the matter.
