When Manchester United resigned Cristiano Ronaldo in 2021 from Juventus, there was a skyrocketing belief and reinformed passion amongst supporters of the club of their intent to head back into the top spot of club football in Europe as they always hoped.
The Portuguese star went on to showcase his world-class abilities for the club with a decent return of 24 goals by his highly esteemed standard at the ripe age of 35. He quickly transformed the lackadaisical squad into a formidable one and did his best to help them to a European spot last season.

But the second stint looks over now following the latest development in the United-Ronaldo fiasco this season that has seen him be reprimanded for misconduct toward his manager, Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman was less fond of the Portuguese and favored Marcus Rashford as his top nine ahead of him.

The blues were rumored to be ready to do a deal in the summer but United firmly rejected the thought of that happening despite Ronaldo's intent to leave.
At 37 years of age, many would have thought he'll be retired but the Portuguese keeps defying the odds and maintaining his performance at the top level. Chelsea's new owner is reportedly fond of Ronaldo and was eager to sign him before but the then Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was against his signing. With Graham Potter now in charge at Chelsea, it is safe to assume that the blues will be interested in him come January.
