Manchester United are looking to continue to bring in new signings as the team enters pre-season, with the manager looking for depth in certain positions on the pitch to help him for the competitions in which the club will be involved.

Much has been said about the imminent departure of Harry Maguire from Manchester United, as well as the transfer of Brazilian defender Alex Telles, who was signed yesterday by the Arab club Al-Nassr, for that reason Erik Ten Hag would now think about focusing on the defensive part, incorporating a player who adapts to his system of play.

One of the players that the Dutch manager has been targeting is FC Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest, since last summer United showed great interest in the American, but the Spanish club would send him on loan to AC Milan and that was the reason why he could never arrive at Old Trafford; but now the situation may arise again for Ten Hag

FC Barcelona would be very willing to let the winger go, if the right price is reached, which would be around 10 million euros, for his quality and potential, Manchester United would have no problem in signing Dest, however, the red devils are not the only team that would be in contention to sign the winger, Crystal Palace and Fulham would join the fight to see who can sign the American before the end of the summer.

Sergino Dest's numbers

The 22-year-old full-back has shown that he has the quality to play for the biggest clubs in Europe, although he is not at his best and FC Barcelona are looking to sell him, Erik Ten Hag could take advantage of the situation and exploit Sergino's potential; during last season, the full-back was on loan at AC Milan where he could only play 14 games for less than 1,000 minutes.
