Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of talk about the possible arrival of a striker for Manchester United, and reinforcing the attack is one of the main issues for Ten Hag, who is looking to give Rashford a helping hand in order to have more goal scoring options.

One of the most talked about players to reinforce the striker has been the Danish player Rasmus Hojlund, Ten Hag is very interested in this player because he thinks that his qualities and skills adapt very well to his system of play, besides that he can be a great accompaniment to Rashford and score many goals this season.

The club has been very close to Hojlund, who has also shown interest in joining the Red Devils, however, it has only remained in talks as United have not made any official offer for the player, so there is still no certainty in the signing.

Ten Hag would be looking for a way to acquire Hojlund as he is a key player that the club cannot afford to lose, however there are other factors that could jeopardize the negotiation, which would make the coach would have to look for other alternatives if they want to solve the problem of goals.

Atalanta's asking price for Hojlund

United had already enquired about Hojlund's value and were preparing an offer of around 35 million euros, however, in a latest update Atalanta are reportedly asking the club for a figure of 60-70 million, double what United were planning to offer, which could certainly cut off Ten Hag's aspirations to have the player as due to Financial Fair Play, it is a price they would not be able to pay.
