Manchester United played their first game of the pre-season against Leeds United in Oslo, Ten Hag's charges were able to take the lead in the second half when both goals were scored and the club will now look ahead to their next opponents Lyon in Scotland on Wednesday.
Erik Ten Hag was able to observe the players for the first time this season and this kind of meeting could help the coach to move the different pieces on the pitch and make some changes for the start of the Premier League which starts in a month.
During the match Manchester United had two young stars, one in each half; in the first 45 minutes the club was able to get several scoring chances, all from Tunisian star Hannibal Mejbri, who had a great performance and was able to show his qualities that opened the opportunity for this season.
For the second half Ten Hag would make 11 substitutions and in the place of Jadon Sancho, who did not have a great first half and who also missed a clear scoring chance, he was replaced by the other young star who shone, Noam Emeran, entered as a revulsive for the second half, being the most unbalanced player of the team and who was also able to score the first goal and assist for the second, so he became the best player of the match.
The young striker, just 20 years old, impressed everyone during the first game of the pre-season, scoring a goal and providing an assist in United's win over Leeds. Emeran has been in the team's academy and has been able to participate in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League, so he knows the demands of the club and with this kind of games he could show that he is ready to shine in the first team.
